SHORTER HOLIDAYS DECIDED ON. (Rec. 9.30). SYDNEY, Nov. 24. Miners on the western New South Wales coalfields have decided to take only ten days’ holiday at Christmas instead of 16, which they are allowed by law. . Their decision follows appeals by the miners’ leaders foi' increased output. Despite these appeals six idle colleries in the State to-day swelled the week’s coal loss to. 39,000 tons. Last week’s loss was 30,000 tons.
