ADVANCE IN ITALY

In All Sectors LONDON, November 22. Eighth Army troops have four miles to go before reaching Faenza, says Reuter’s Rome correspondent. They made the most important gains of the week by, capturing Castiglione and pushing one mile beyond the town. Fifth Army forces, who simultaneously attacked, have advanced beyond Modigliana, in the Apennines, weot of Forli. The Germans are again using armour on a large scale. Ravenna airport has been outflanked. The Indians have gained half a mile north of Modigliana. (Rec. 12.20)- LONDON, Nov 23 Eighth Army British and Polish troops substantially progressed south of Fatnza, reports Thursday’s Allied communique from Italy. British forces cleared all enemy resistance south of Cosina River. Poles continued to advance and captured the villages of Oriiolo San Biazio and San Memente. Fifth Army Indian troops occupied important high ground north of Modigliana. There were no changes in the forward positions elsewhere.’
