HEAVY FIGHTING.
EIGHTH ARMY PROGRESS
(Rec. 12.40). LONDON, November 22. To-day’s Allied communique from Italy l says Eighth Army British troops west of Forli captured a fortified village, Castiglione, and advanced beyond the village to the Cosina River. Polish forces of the 1 Eighth Army, farther west, recaptured Monte Fortiho against strong resistance, and thev advanced over a mile beyond to sieze an important feature, • Monte Piano. Heavy fighting continues, in the Fifth Army sector. British. American and Indian forces beat off several strong raids. They took prisoners.
