AMERICAN JEWS
Demand Palestine State AND CHANGE OF BRITISH POLICY. (Rec. 12.0) NEW YORK, Nov. 20. Delegates to a Jewish National Conference here for Palestine called on the United Nations, at their next conference here, to create a Large-fund to be used exclusively for the resettling of Jews who will need, or will want, to go to Palestine. They called on the United Nations also to speed the establishment of Palestine as a Jewish Commonwealth wherein all residents would be equal under law.
Another resolution also asked for: (1) Abandonment of the British 1939 White Paper; (2) for unrestricted Jewish immigration into Palestine; (3) for the right for the Jews to buy land in F'alestine on the same basis as all other residents; (4) the provision by the United States Government of shipping in order to transport to Palestine thousands of Jews, particularly orphan' children, now able to migrate from Europe; and (5) the raising by American Jews of thirty million dollars for basic development in Palestine.
