McKeefry (Secretary; said that nine years ago a committee naa been formed in tne town to con- I duct the Heaitn Stamp campaign Auer auout two momns it had dropped out, and, not knowing wnac to uo with money collected it had asked if the Hospital Board would act as trustee, 'rnougn the Board, as sucn, could not do tnis, the members at, tnat time, of wnom only Messrs J i B. Kent, A. Mosley, J. Mulcare, ana H. G. Carter still sat on the Board, nad formed tnemseives into a district executive which had acted in a voluntary capacity. Mr. McKeefry said that for nine years he had conducted Health Camp business m tne district, and tne executive nad a credit oaiance or £l5l, and it had sent nearly four hundred children irorir the West Coast to camps without cost to their parents, except train, fares in some cases. It was a siur on the voluntary work done to approach members of the Board asking them to wield the big stick, on him, to do something in connection i with the Health Stamp campaign.

Mrs. Parfitt said she did not take it that way. ’ihe meeting had been called at the invitation of Mr. Alaridge. If Mr. McKeeiry had been present the position would have been explained. The idea in calling tne meeting had been to help uhings along. Mr. McKeefry said he appreciated the work of Mrs. Parfitt, but objected to the method of approacn. He pointed out tuat all money raised on the Coast by the sale ot Health Stamps had to be expended on the Coast. Every child recommended bi' the scnool medical officers, on whose recommendations tne expenditure acted, had been sent to a camp. Several members of the Board referred appreciatively to the work i done by Mr. McKeefry. It was decided that all new members of the Hospital Board be members of the District Health Camp executive. Mrs. Parfitt was empowered to co-opt to the committee members of the women’s committee she had referred to.
