Reliable people arriving in Stockholm from Germany stress that the Nazis will soon try a novel ’ method of warfare in an attempt to prevent an Allied victory before the winter. Significance is .attached to Hitler decorating Professor Esau, one of Germany’s leading authorities on the.mtdm, with the Knight’s Cross oi' the German War Service Medal -for “distinguished services in restoring Germany’s technical superiority in war.” The correspondent adds that the nbutral scientist told him the Germans were making an .all-out effort to harness the atom for war purposes.
