GERMANS CAN WIN YET!

HITLER’S REPORTED VIEW. (Rec. 9.35). LONDON, Sept.' 22. According to Doctor Schmidt, head of the Press Department of the German Foreign Office, Hitler still believes Germany can win the war. Giving “Hitler’s own view of the war”, Dr. Schmidt said: “No longer can military standards alone be applied in gauging the prospects of victory. Those who previously declared that the war was lost for Britain when France went down, or that the Soviet was inevitably doomed when the Ukraine and the Donetz Basin were invaded, now know better —to their own cost. Those who, at present, believe. that Germany is lost, when the enemy stands on the Rhine, are guilty of the same error. Our military reverses of the past months have been clearly traced to their sources, and taken to heart. Germany must conquer, because, otherwise, the Reich will go under. Germany, can conquer. Germany will conquer.” •
