In the semi-finals of the U.S. national professional golf championships at Spokane, Byron Nelson defeated Charles Congdon, eight and seven; and Bob Hamilton defeated George Schneiter. one up. Nelson scored 67 in his morning round, five under par, and was five under par for 29 holes before the match ended. For 160 holes played so far. Nelson is 26 under par.
