U.S. ARMY lAus. & N.Z. Press Assn ) (Rec. 9.50) NEW YORK, Aug. 16 An Italian Serivce Unit of the U.S. Army, composed of former prisoners of war, has been attacked, at Seattle by Negro soldiers. A numger of Negro soldiers armed with rocks attacked the barracks at the Italian service unit in Seattle on Tuesday night. They injured twenty-four of the Italians all of whom have been admitted to hospital. Several of the attackers were less seriously hurt. Later, tne body of one of the Italians was found hanging from a tree. The authorities have arrested a number of the ‘ negroes, and have launched am immediate investigation.
