KTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Grey County Council under the provisions of Section 51 of "The Rating Act, 1925” and Section 120 of “The Counties’ Act, 1920” and all other sections of the above mentioned Acts (and any amendments thereto empowering it so to do) will, at a meetino- of the Council, to be held on THURSDAY, the 7th day of SEPTEMBER, 1944, MAKE AND LEVY A GENERAL RATE OF THREEPENCE in the £ on the rateable value of all -.he rateable property (on the basis of the Capital Value) appearing on the Valuation Rolls now in force within the County, of Grey; and a Special L’ghting ’Rate of THREE'FARTHINGS in the £' on the rateable value of all the rateable property (on the basis of the Capital Value) appearing on the Valuation Roll now in force withing the Blackball Special Light'ng District, North Riding, County of Grey; and a Special Lighting Rate of ONE-FIFTH OF A PENNY in the £ on the rateable value of all the rateable property (on the basis of the Capital Value) appearing on the Valuation Roll now in force within the Special District, South Riding, County of Grey, for the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1944, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1945. The said rates shall be payable in one sum to the County Clerk, at the County Council Chambers, Gresson Street', Greymouth, on the 14th day of September, 1944.
