RUGBY FOOTBALL

TO-DAY’S GAMES Only one senior Rugby football fixture will be played at Greymouth to-day, but this game in itself should provide sufficient interest to draw a large crowd. This will be the second meetin# of Star-United and Celtic. Both teams have shown much improvement since their last appearance together when Combined emerged victorious Both have heavy sets of forwards, but probably the play will not be confined to his division, as perhaps, the backs are the feature of both sides. They are snappy and play football that is worth watching. The teams are just beginning to get settled into good combinations now, and given a fine day this game should be an excellent one.

The other senior game will be played at Hokitika, where the home team is to meet Blaketown. Last week both teams went under, neither appearing to strike good form, but their meeting to-day, should result in bright play. Hokitika won when these teams last met, but the visitors will be keen to reverse that decision

Blaketown and Celtic thirds the competition’s leading teams, will meet in the curtain raiser .at Rugby Park, and another game in that competition will be played on the No. 2 ground. Fourth graders will meet at Tech, anc) at the Park. ■’learns, are: —,/ Star-UAlted v.
