WAR IN BURMA

Imphal Front 'lO,OOO JAPANESE DEAD. 8.0.W. RUGBY, June 20. A Kandv message says that ten thousand Japanese were killed on the Imphal front in the last three months. This figure does not include casualties caused bv bombing and artillery fire. Our troops advanced a further seventeen miles down the KohimaImphal road despite heavy rains, and now have under their control, a stretch of thirty miles between the two bases.
