WOMAN SENTENCED. LONDON, May 14. The Germans announced the first death sentence on a women in Denmark, says “The Times’s” Stockholm correspondent. She is stated to be British born, Mrs. Monica Emily Wichfield, formerly Massy Beresford, grandeaughter of the first Baron Dunleath.* She was born in London in 1894. S'he is charged with “activity on behalf of the enemy.” The “Telegraph” says the sentence was altered to a term of imprisonment as hostage.
