[Our Own Correspondent]. Good bags were got at the opening of the duck shooting season. In the first three days 100 swans and about 40 ducks were taken off the lagoon. A good number of shooters Horn all parts were' out, and it is expected that a large number of shooters will be at Okarito for the final few days. Visitors to Okarito during the past few days include: Messrs C. Donovan and Joe Hansbury (Hokitika), Mr. A. Ferry and Dr. D. A. Arnott (Hokitika), Mr. Chapman (Nelson), Messrs H. Adamson, M. Douglas, W. Adamson, A F'riend, Clark, and the Thompson brothers (Wataroa), Mr. F. Condon (Franz Josef Glacier). Mrs. Thompson, of Okarito, is spending a holiday with her parents at Harihari.
