RAID AT ROME

CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE. (Rec. 12.20 a.m.) LONDON, May 11. The Paris radio reports: Allied planes raided th~e suburbs of Rome on Wednesday morning, causing considerable damage and civilian casualties. An Ailed communique from Italy on Thursdav states: Medium bombers continued attacks on bridges, and viaducts on railway lines between Rome and Florence, and also south of Rome. Fighter-bombers and light bombers attacked similar targets.
