Lhe Jnstanbul correspondent' ot the Associated Press of Great Britain savs: Herr Von Papen, German Ambassador, has returned to Istanbul, accompanied bv his military and commercial attaches, after giving a personal report to Hitler on Turkey’s stoppage of chrome exports to Germanv. despite the fact that Germany has pa.d for more than has been delivered. Significance is attached to the fact that. Herr Von Papen was not accompanied bv Doctor Claudius, who negotiated the original agreement unlir which the chrome and other ccmmodities were delivered, becatito the agreement expires this month.
