Mr. J. M. Eadie left by yesterday’s ’plane for Wellington.
The funeral of Mr. John Alfred McVicar took place at Karoro Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. V. S. Learning.
Mr. and Mrs. C. Hogg of Blackball, have received advice that their son, Sergeant H. A. Hogg, who was recently wounded while serving with the armed forces iri the Middle East, is not seriously wounded Private M. D. Williams, whose death from wounds, was reported in a "casualty list yesterday, lived In the Grey district for some years before mining the Armv. His wife, a daughter of Mr W. H. Parfitt, Greymouth, •and three children survive him. Mr. Williams was born at Hooait, lasmania.

The death occurred yesterday at Greymouth of Mrs. Mary Ann Dennehy, wife of Mr. Francis Dennehy, of ' Barry town. Mrs. Dennehy, who was 74 years of age, had been in. iailin°- health tor some time. She was born at Manchester, England. Before going to live in Barrytown four years ago she had lived at Wataroa and Ashburton. Besides her husband she leaves three daughters, Sister Mary St. David (Mission Convent, Christchurch), ,Mrs. ( M. • Haden (Christcnurch). and Miss Margaret Dennehy (Wellington), and three son», Daniel and Joseph (Barrytown), and James- (dkuru); also one sister ana three brothers.
The death occurred last night at Greymouth of Mr. Thomas William Walker, a and highly esteemed resident of Kumara, where he had for the past 40 years carried on the business of a blacksmith. He was a native of Kumara, 59 years of age, and had been a member of the School Committee, Fire Brigade, and Racing Club, and was a Fast Master and Treasurer of the Masonic Lodge. Besides his wife he leaves four sons, William (Jacksons) and Robert, Thomas and .Allan (Kumara), and four daughters; Mesdames A. Cooper and G. Marriott (Christchurch), E. Brown and Miss B. Walker (Greymouth). He is also survived by his mother. Mrs. Walker (Cobden, one brother, Robert (Wellington) and four sisters, Mesdames Hunt (Waimate), Hill (Christchurch), F. Smith (Cobden), and J. S'. Robertson (Greymouth).
