RAILWAY TRAVEL. RESERVATION OF SEATS Intending train travellers are advised that advance reservations are now limited to not longer than 14 days ahead of travel date and seats may be reserved only fay passengers in possession of the appropriate train tickets. In the event of circumstances preventing the holder of a reservation from travelling, the Railway Booking Office should be notified that the seat will not be required. If such notice is not given at least 24 hours before the train is due to leave its starting' station, a surcharge of 3/- on 5/- (according to distance) will be made for each unclaimed reserved seat.
