PILLAGING ALLEGATIONS. P.A. CHRISTCHURCH, May 2. A call for labour to discharge the “Rangatira’s” cargo was accepted by Lyttelton waterskiers to-day. The men had refused to work the ship on Saturday when the Union Steam Ship Company declined a request for an officer tp be placed at each of tn hatches. The request was made as -the men contended that such action would protect them from allegations of pillaging. The cargo was take., ’back to Wellington and returned today.
