COAL, GAS AND POWER

NATIONALISATION PLAN. PROPOSED BY BRITISH LABOUR. LONDON,'ApriI 30. The Labour Party has issued its plans for complete nationalisation of coal, gas and electricity at every stage from pit to factory and home, says the “Daily Mail.” The Party’s pamphlet suggests a national coal and power corporation to own and supervise all the industries concerned, and also coal, gas and electricity boards being established under the corporation. It adds: A local coal board working solely in the public interest would be responsible for all operational activity in the productive sphere and marketing. The Board would regulate prices and exports. The report will be discussed at the Party’s annual conference at Whi sun.
