Opera House Finally to-night: “Ten Gentlemen From West Point.” Next Attraction (commences to-morrow Tuesday): “You’ll Never Get Rich.” YOU’LL NEVER GET RICH.” The much discussed Fred Astaire musical “You’ll Never Get Rich,” commencing at the Opera House to--morrow Tuesday has been hailed as the most spectacular musical extravaganza ever filmed 'in Hollywood. It brims over with laughter gaiety and lovely girls against the background of Cole Porter’s tuneful lyrics, and it provides the nimblefooted Fred Astaire with the best partner he’s ever had—the beautiful, vivacious and much publicised Rita Hayworth. Supporting the principals are such prominent screen personalities as John Hubbard, Osa Massen, Freda Inescort and Robert Benchley and a host of other comedy and character players, as well, there is a dazzling chorus of nineyeight beauties. Porter’s tunes written exclusively for the film include “So Near, and Yet So Far”; “Dream Dancing”; “Since I Kissed My Baby Good-bye”; “The Wedding CakeWalk,” “Shooting the Works for Uncle Sam”; and the “Boogie Barcarolle.” Regent Theatre Finally to-night; .“Air .Raid .Wardens.” Commencing Tuesday: “Sons of the Sea” starring Michael Redgrave and Valerie Hobson. “Sons of the Sea,” a story , of adventure on the high seas commences at the Regent Theatre to-morrow (Tuesday.) Made at Warner Bros, studios in England the new picture stars Michael Redgrave and Valerie Hob-1 son. It is a story of the founding I of the Cunard Line in 1840 and of the first efforts to institute regular steamship sailings between England and America, “Sons of the Sea” commences in the middle of the last century when strong rivalry ’existed between the shipowners of the two great British ports. Liverpool and Glasgow. It was the vision and tenacity of young- Charles Maclvor of Liverpool which built against opposition and ridicule the first fleet of steamships to ply the Atlantic forming an unbreakable bond of friendship and understanding between the people of Britain and America. This is a story of heroic courage and is fraught with thrills and excitement from start to finish.
