To Overseas Conscription (Rec. 9.10.) "QUEBEC, April’27. The Quebec State Legislative Assembly, by fiftv-five votes to four, has passed a motion expressing its unyielding disapproval of' an'v move to send conscripted men overseas. Mr. Tene Chaloult, Nationalist, moving the motion, referred to Mr. Ralston’s speech in which the latter had said that, if necessary, drafted men could be sent overseas bv taking appropriate measures. Mr. Chaloult pointed out that Canada Introduced conscription because ot a supposed danger of invasion. That now had passed, and it should be abolished. ____________ - -
