WATAROA SALE
NATIONAL MORTGAGE REPORT. The National Mortgage and Agency Co., Ltd., report on the Wataroa sale, held on Wednesday last, as follows: There was an entry of approximately 395 cattle, 53 breeding ewes and a number of rams. Inducted in the yarding there were some good lines forward on account' m Messrs W. D. Nolan and Sons, John Condon and Sons, and Eggling Bros., and these drafts in particular met with very keen competition .and values could be quoted as fully up to the rates ruling at the same sale last March. Other lines .of good coloured cattle also met with good competition, and generally speaking the sale must be considered very satisfactory t 0 all vendors. Our entry comprised 190 cattle, 53 ewes and 3 rams. The following is a list of the principal sales: — Account of H. Busch, Mahitahi, 53 4-year and 5-year ewes at 22s 6d. Account of L. D. Adams, Sheffield, 1 Romney ram at 9 guineas, and- 1 Southdown-Shropshire cross ram at 8- guineas. Account of W. D. Nolan and Sons, 6 fat heifers at £lO 12s 6d, 12 fat heifers at £l2 12s 6d to £l3 2s 6d. A’ccount of G. Nisson, 8 18-months steers at £6 2s 6d, 10 18months heifers at £5 2s 6d. Account John Condon and Sons, 24 21year steers from £ll 17s 6d to £l2 2s 6d, 10.21-year heifers at £8 12s 6d. Account of T. A. Condon and Sons. 2 extra prime cows at £l4 7s 6d, 5 fat cow’s from £5 17s 6d to £9 12s 6d, 5 18-months heifers at £4 15s. Account of J. M. Purcell, 3 fat bullocks at £ll 17s 6d, 9 steers at £9 15s. 6 heifers at £8 2s 6d. Account Eggling Bros, 6 31-year bullocks'at £l5 2s 6d, 8 21-year steers at £ll 17s 6d, 13 21yiear heifers from £8 17s 6d to £9 2s 6d, 2 fat cow's at £ll 2s 6d, 2 fat cows at £7 12s 6d. Account of Henry Dehn, 1 cow £3 2s 6d. ' Account J. and E. Green, 9 18-months heifers at £4 17s 6d, 1 cow at £3 7s 6d. Account J. J. O'Connor, 10 18-months steers at £5 17s 6d and 6 Jersey steers at £3 10s.
