ST. PATRICK’S SPORTS

Of particular interest to all athletes, the programme for St. Patrick’s Sports to be held on Saturday, March 18, is published to-day, and nominations close on Saturday, March 11. Two chopping events, with a total of £4O in prize money are. included, together with three cyclingevents carrying excellent prizes. The amateur events will be under the control of the Greymouth Amateur Athletic Club, and comprise footraces for both men and women over distances to suit all competitors, as well as hurdles, javelin, shot putt and hop, step and jump. Post entries will be received for the National Dancing, baby show (in three sections) and numeros other competitions. The Annual Hibernian Ball will take place on Tuesday, March 14, and the Irish National Concert on Thursday, March 16th.
