SHIPPING PINCH
JAPS’. DIFFICULTY IN PACIFIC. (Rec. 8.40.) NEW YORK, Feb. 25.
The “New York Times’s” correspondent at Pearl Harbour states: The ability of the Japanese to maintain their replacing of huge quantities of equipment lost in the Pacific -is steadily and rapidly declining, and the Japanese military machine is definitely suffering thereby. Japanese equipment found at Kwajalein was made from surprisingly inferior materials. and was badly constructed. It now seems apparent that the enemy is feeling a real shipping pinch.
