FINLAND’S ATTITUDE
ACCEPTABLE TERMS OR FIGHT ON. (Rec. 10.10) -LONDON, Feb. 25 “If any’pne wants peace, I am that man, but Finland cannot accept any conditions,’’ said M. Tanner, Acting Prime Minister of Finland. He is quoted by the Finnish radio as saying that Finland, is disposed to withdraw from the war if she obtains acceptable conditions. M. Tanner added: If the terms are not acceptable, we shall fight on with clenched teeth. If they are acceptable, we shall accept them immediately.”
SOVIET TERMS LONDON VERSION (Rec 11.50) LONDON, Feb. 25. The Stockholm paper Dagens Nyheter’s” London correspondent, quoting non-British unofficial sources for the report, says that Russia s armistice terms to Finland are: (1) Return to the frontier fixed after 1930. (2) No change in the Finnish Government. (3) Demobilisation of the Finnish Army. (4) Internment of German troops in Finland for the duration of the war. If Finland desires Russian troops will enter Finland to help to put the Germans under control, and if'Finland accepts Red Army lielp Russia will guarantee to withdraw after the war. The correspondent said the question of reparations would be disdussed laer.
