The following- may be well supported:— 11.50: Ruakaka Hurdles: Royal Jay, Prince Rew'a. Chain Acre. 12.35: Waitoa Handicap! Ist div: Mercurial, Odvaals, Zulu Boy; 2nd. div: Gunman, Playfellow, Theorems. 1.20: J'uvenile Handicap: Quick Draw, High Span, Home James. 2.5: Memorial Cup: Expanse, Ringlight, Lady Pay. 2.55: Shaftsbury Hack: Bevace, Laddie Boy, Hunting Camp. 3.40: Champion Hack Cup: Lady Bertha, Sir Dingle, Fortune’s Smile. 4.25: Hot Springs Handicap: Balfron, Kraal, Water Vixen, 5.10: Waihou Handicap: Flowerburn. Dinky Di, Bonny Pay. Will Improve: Grelba, who finished a close fourth in the maiden race at Addington on Saturday is a 4-year-old by Grattan Loyal. She was in the thick of it most of the way, but tired in the last 50 yards. The run would do her a lot of good and she should soon graduate to a better class. Got Bad Run: Usually a good beginner, Bevace was cut out at the barrier rise .at Rotorua and then made up a lot of ground to finish just in behind' the placed horses. Bevace has down down on the weights and should have perospects at Te Aroha to-day.

Improving Hurdler: A winner at his last attempt, Chain Acre seems sure to better his record. He has improved a good deal in his 'fencing, while he has more than average pace on the fiat. Northerners predict a good future for the Acre gelding over the small jumps this winter.

Good One: Peter Gallagher seems to have a Cup l horse in the making in Cabin Boy. He was never far from tiie leaders in the Eclipse Handicap at the New Brighton T.C. meeting, and when asked a question in the home straight he soon silenced the opposition. Cabin Boy was under treatment for an enlarged fetlock the previous day, and on the morning of the race he was still receiving attention. Good Type: Scott Axworthy is .a line type of pacer, who raced without any luck at Addington last week-end. His finishing effort was something to be remembered, and in a similar class his followers should gel even for Saturday’s unlucky defeat. TIMARU TROTS TO BE HELD. P.A. TIMARU, Feb. 25. McKendry against the decision of the New Zealand Trotting Association imposing a suspension of one month for interference at the Canterbury Park Trotting Club’s meeting on January 3.
