OPPOSITION LEADER'S t COMPLAINT. P.A. WELLINGTON, Feb. 25. ' “The Opposition is in no wav responsible for any delays in Parliament settling down to business which the public expected, and which they were informed, demanded urgent atteiition,” said the Leader of the Opposition (Mr. S. G. Holland) in a statement commenting on the adjournment of the House from Phuis-da-v niffiit to Wednesday afternoon. “The business of the House is entirely the responsibility of the Government. We of the Opposition have been prepared to sit outside of the usual prescribed hours in order to reach normal business, to come before Ihe House. If the Government is not readv to proceed, members of the House collectively should not be Notice of the calling together of Parliament on February 22 was announced on January 24 by the Acting-Prime Minister (Hon. D. G Sullivan) and the Government has had Dlentv of time in which to draw up its programme for this part of the session. The Opposition was consulted neither as to the business nor the date. We asked that the House; should be called earlier than February 22 so that urgent questions could be considered.’’
