GREY POWER BOARD
MONTHLY MEETING. Mr. J. Mulcare presided over the monthly meeting of the Grey Electric Power Board on Wednesday evening. Also present were Messrs W. Clayton, iP. Blanchfield, J. Smeaton, J. Unwin, W. H. Parfitt, Jz. B. Kent, W. E. Pring, W. Fisher, the secretary (Mr. W. S. McClymont), and the engineer (Mr. Sinclair Trotter.) The Runanga Community Week Committee wrote thanking the Board for the loan of an electric range and the services of a salesman at the cooking demonstration. It was decided to make the usual donation of £5 ss. to the Plunket Society. Mr. Blanchfield asked that his notice of motion, that the penalty on unpaid accounts be reduced from 2d. in the shilling to Id. in the shilling, be held over till the next meeting as lhe wanted additional figures. Leave was granted. Accounts amounting to £11,649 10s Id. (paid £10,212 9s. 10d.; to be paid, £1,437 os. 3d.) were passed for payment. The report of the secretary (Mr. W. S. McClymont), stated:—Cash takings since mv last report have amounted to £6,631 9s. lid. The balance of the Power Fund account at the Bank of New Zealand on February 9 was £5,047 7s. 7d. Financially assisted range sales now total £11,546 9s. 3d, of which £1,953 10s. Bd. is out standing there is nothing owing by large power consumers but the February readings, which are not yet due. There were no readings of i an v but casual and large power meters in January. •
