N.Z. AIR CASUALTIES
WELLINGTON, Feb. 16. The following New Zealand air personnel serving overseas have been reported as casualties:— Killed on active service: Mason, Acting Flight Lieutenant O. J. C., of Auckland. Confirmed prisoner of war, previously reported missing: Thompson, Sergeant Claude G., of Christchurch. Missing, believed killed, previously reported confirmed prisoner of war: Hannah. Flying Officer Bernard John Ewart, of Wellington. Missing, believed killed, previously reported missing: Turner, Flight Sergeant Vincent Nicholas Walter, of Christchurch. Presumed dead, previously reclassified missing, believed killed: Caldwell, Pilot Officer William D., of Wellington; Cowin, Flight Sergeant l.homas Lewis, of Nelson; Kirkpatrick, Flying Officer Laurence J., of Gore. Presumed dead, previously reported missing: Crawford, Flying Officer Bernard Verdun, of Bluff; Parton, Sergeant Austen Bristow, of Paeroa; Peattie, Flying; Officer Robert J., of Wanganui; Seywell, Flight Sergeant Edward Wright, of Taranaki; Twigg, Sergeant Edward J'arnes. of Marton.
