WEDDING
McGILL—BENYON. A very pretty wedding was celebrated in Holy Trinity Church, Kumara, when Helen Mary, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Benyon, was united in the bonds of matrimony to Thomas Keith, second son of Mr. and Mrs. R. McGill. The officiating clergyman was Rev. R. P. Taylor. The bride who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a frock of white satin made on plain slim-fitting lines, the heart-shaped neckline, eyelet embroidered and the skirt falling to form a train and being also embroidered, while a tulle veil fell from a coronet of orange blossoms. The bride’s boquet was of Christmas lilies/ and white gladioli. The bride was .attended by her sister, Mrs. L. Pascoe, as matron-of-honourt whose frock' was of blue sheer embroidered with pink flowers on the shoulder and hem, and she wore a coronet of pale blue embroidered with pink and blue flowers and carried a bouquet of pink carnations and sweet peas. i On leaving the church the bride was presented with a lucky horseshoe by Master ’ Pat • Hammersley. Mr. Colin Goad earned, out the duties of best man. A reception was held at the Memorial Hall, where the bride’s mother received the guests attired in powder blue frock and pink stroller coat, with hat and shoes to tone, and a spray of pink roses. The bridegroom’s mother wore .a black ensemble and spray of white roses. The happy couple left by rail-car for Christchurch, the bride -travelling in a floral frock, grey coat, and black hat and shoes to tone. They will make their future home in Dillmans- - town.
