KARORO ROAD BUSH.

(To the Editor). Sir, —As an old resident of the town allow me to point out the disgracefur state of the footpath from the Grey Hospital to the Borough boundary. This road is probably the most used piece of road in the "Borough; vet we find that the blackberries, etc., have a growth of up to f three feet through the fence dividing the footpath from the railway. ! lamat a loss to understand why a strong protest has not been made before this, re the state of this area, as it is a disgrace to the powers that be. I am sure that the hundreds of people that use this piece of footpatn on their regular visits to the Greymouth cemetery must be disgusteu as in places they have to step out on; to the water tables into long grass that has not been cleared out for a long time. No douot both the Railway Department and the Borough Council are both to blame, but surely the people are entitled to something better. I am, etc., DISGUSTED.
