[Our Own Correspondent]. HOKITIKA, Dec. 22. Mr. F. McGregor has been discharged from Westland Hospital and is staying m town, naving made a good recovery from his illness. Mr. R. Smith left by air en route for Auckland. Seaman J. Stuart is spending leave with his parents in Hokitika. The funeral of the late Mrs. Sarah Bennet yesterday was largely attended. The services at the Anglican Church and at the grayesiue were Conducted by Rev. Childs, assisted by Rev. D. C. Arnold. Many noral tributes were received. The death occurred at Westland Hospital yesterday morning of Mrs. Lydia Douglas of Arahura Valley. The late Mrs. Douglas, a member of the Willetts family, formerly of Kanieri, was a native of Shemeld, Canterbury, and was 64 years of age. She leaves a family of three daughters, Mesdames F. Harvey (Marton), C. Schroder (Turiwhate) and Mrs. W. Weir (Ruataptu and live sons, Adam and George Shannon (Middle East Forces), John Shannon (Koiterangi), James Douglas (Rapahoe), and William Douglas (Middie East Forces). There are eight sisters.
