It is the first bulletin to 1 be signed by only two doctors. SYDNEY, Dec. 22. Mr. Curtin cabled to Mr. Churchill 0 expressing “the deepest sorrow and concern that in the midst of your great work you should have become ( ill. All Australians hope and pray for vour well-being and quick recovery.” The Sydney "Telegraph’s” political correspondent suggests that Mr. Churchill may be invited to Australia to convalesce. He says: Mr. Churchill’s medical advisers have told him he needs a' complete change "in a - bracing climate.” Several Commonwealth Jlinisters have expressed themselves a« favouring an invitation. They point out that if Mr. !. Churchill was in North Africa, he f was already near l -- half-wav to Auss trali*. and that the plane trip here I world be comparatively short and safe. ' i .Commentators on the suggestion* r !>oint out that if his health permits -Jthe projected January meeting of Australian and New Zealand Ministers might offer an occasion for informal discussions of Pacific problems. such as bases for the United : States and Mr. Curtin’s proposals for the future of the Empire.
