WEDDING
WALLACE—McMAHON.
A very pretty yedding recently took place at St. Patrick’s Churcn, Greymouth, the contracting parties being Alicia Veronica, youngest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. Terence McMahon of Cronadun, and Thomas John, only son of Mr. and Mrs. S. G Wallace of Kumara. The Rev. Father Nolan of Reefton. officiated and celebrated Nuptial Mass. The bride, who was escorted bv her brother-in-law, Mr. Chandler, wore >■ gown of cream slipper satin, with a flowing train of edged velvet and a beautiful veil of tulle and satin sprays, which was held in place with a halo of tulle and orange blossom. Her bouquet was a shower of sweet peas and roses.
Attending as bridesmaid was Miss Kathleen Wallace, sister of the bridegroom, who was also beautifully attired in a picture frock of striped taffeta with a pink snrav and net shoulder veil to match and carried a bouquet of pink, mauve and blue sweet peas. Mr. Marne Neil carried out the duties of best man. i Miss’ J. Walker presided at the organ and Mrs. W. Connor was soloist. The reception was held at Harker’s Tearooms, where the guests were received bv the bride’s sister, Mrs. Chandler, attired in a black coat and hat with a spray of red roses. Mrs. Wallace, mother of the bridegroom, was also attired in a black coat and hat to match, with a spray of deep lemon roses. The duties of master of ceremonies were ably carried 'out bv Rev. Father Nolan. A lengthy toast list was dulv honoured. The happv couple later left for Timaru and Invercargill, the bride travelling in a coat and hat of teal blue, with rust accessories.
