(3) Australian troops on the Huon Peninsula have crossed the Song River, and are aovaricing in three directions for a general assault against the enemy strong point of Wareo. (4) In the Solomons an American Marine force struck at night against enemy positions south of Empress Augusta Bay, killing two hundred Japanese and destroying large ammunition and supply dumps.
