MEAT PRICE SCHEDULES

AGREEMENT REACHED P.A. WELLINGTON, Dec. 3. The Minister of Agriculture (Mr Roberts) announced to-night that the agreement which has been reached between the Government and the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board on the opening schedule for wether and ewe mutton, prime ox, and heifer is as follows:— Wethers (prime) 481bs and under, 51 d; 49/56, 43d; 57/64, 4-id; 65/72, 41d; 73/80, 23d. Wethers (seconds): 561bs and under, 4Jd; 57/72. 4 l-Bd. Ewes: 641bs and under, 3 l-8d; 65/72 25-8 d: 73/80, 1 7-Bd.

Beef, prime ox, all weights, 34s per lOOlbs; prime heifer, all weights, 335; ox, second quality, all weights, 295; heifer, second quality, all weights, 28s; cow, first quality,' 27s 6d: boner, all classes, 20s. The schedules will operate for the whole of the season and will be retrospective in respect of stock already killed.
