CHARGE OF MURDERING BABY. P.A. PALMERSTON N, Oct. 19. Emily Ivv Elston, married, aged the mother of five children, who stood trial to-day on a charge 01 murdering her newly-born, baby wu.> acquitted. Mr. Justice Blair t ol <l the jury: “I think I might add that 1 agree with yoflr verdict.” j , The evidence disclosed that Elston who was living apart from her husband, was alone when the baby« was born She wrapped it In a sheet ana nlaced it in a suitcase Medical evidence showed that the child had breathed. It died of asphyxia, but possibly it was dead before being put in the suitcase.
