The National Party is doing its best to convince electors that the | farming community is opposed to the Labour Government but the only grievance expressed by; the farmers of the Buller electorate is that they d : d not have the opportunity to append their names to the nomination paper of the Hon. P. C. Webb. During the last two weeks, several farmers have called at the Labour rooms and while in conversation with Mr. Ridsdale, the organiser, expressed uie hope that the Labour Party would be returned stronger than ever to carry on the splendid work they are doing for all sections of the community. In more than one instance, the wish was accompanied by a substantial donation towards the campaign fund.
