A.A. GUNS AND BAZOOKA NEW YORK, June 23. Major-General Barnes, an Ordnance Corps officer, said that .a new four point seven inch anti-aircraft gun, with an accurate range of sixty, thousand feet, was now being manufactured in huge quantities. This range was twenty thousand feet greater than the best available antiaircraft guns at present, including the enemy’s guns. l General Barnes also disclosed details of the "Bazooka,” the deadly portable anti-tank weapon, weighing twelve pounds, which two infantrymen are able to carry .and operate it. It has a two and a half pound projectile, which is a rocket containing an explosive far more powerful than T.N.T. • The Bazooka can be fired from an infantryman’s shoulder, since it is open at both ends, and has no rpco’l.... is h»sting and incendiary, yJletrating.
