Believed Imminent [Aust. & N.Z. Cable Assn J (Rec. 11.5.) LONDON, June 27. The semi-official Italian newspaper “Popolo d ’ltalia” gives three reasons why an invasion of Italy is regarded as imminent. Firstly, there is a systematic air bombardment of the Italian' and Sicilian towns >. and ports. Secondly, there is an increasing concentration of Allied naval and landing forces in North Africa. Thirdly, there is the presence of heavy British naval units at Gibraltar, and their reinforcements from the U n .ited States. 72 RAIDS MADE. ON NAPLES. i (Rec. H. 5.) LONDON, June 26. Rome radio says: The Allies have now made seventy-two raids on Naples. Since April .30, the Neapolitans have spent two hundred and forty three hours in ( the air raid shelters.
