ICELAND’S PROTST

LONDON, June 19. Iceland has, for the first time, officially protested to Germany against violation of neutrality as. a result of German bombers attacking a coastal steamer the Sudin on June 16, on the north coast of Iceland, killing two members of the crew and injuring five. Major General William S. Kev. former Provost Marshall in the European Theatre for the United States Army, has assumed command of United States troops in Iceland in succession to Major General Charles H. Bonesteel, who has departed for another destination.
