TWO PERSONS SEVERELY SCALDED.

P.A ; t ROTORUA, June 22. Miss June Davidson, aged 24, of Egmont Street, Patea, and residing at Rotorua, and Norman Forbes, aged 23, of Blenheim, an Air Force trainee, were admitted to Rotorua Hospital last evening suffering from severe extensive scalds.

It appears that Miss Davidson and Forties were a little distance ahead of a party of ten persons passing through the thermal area known as Kulrau Reserve, near Ohinemutu. at 9.30 p.m. on Monday.. The night was dark and stormy and the path narrow and winding. Calls for help brought the main party hurriedly to the scene. The couple had apparently slipped or blundered into a boiling pool in the scrub on the edge of the track. They were got out with diili-' cultv and rushed to hospital. The condition to-day of both victims was very critical.
