P.A. WELLINGTON, June. 16. In view of the wide interest taken by the relatives of prisoners of war in the arrangements made for the conduct, of various University examinations im orison camps in Germany, the Registrar of the University "of New Zealand advises that a Canterbury. College student, Major M. A. Btull, who is a prisoner of war in Oflag- IX., duly received, his examination .papers from New Zealand, and wrote his .answers, and these answers have now been judged by a New Zealand examiner . to be clearly worthy of pass marks for a section of the Bachelor of Commerce degree. The prisoner has'' been advised of the result by air mail, and this step concludes the first case in which New Z.ealand examining has been fully conducted in respect to a prisoner of war.
