QUEBEC, June 15.

Seven thousand shipyard workers voted to strike, closing three Quebec shipyards. Union officials say the companies were notified last Friday that a vote was being taken demanding wage adjustments and a close shop. The companies were given 48 hours, but they did not make any offer, and maintained silence, thereby giving the men! the legal right to S?he Munitions Minister (Mr. Howe) said the Government would take over the shipyards. 12,000 CANADIAN STRIKERS. (Rec. 11.40.) TORONTO, June 16. Labour disputes yesterday involved 12,000 Canadian workers. Of these 1,700 are drydock employees. They went on a go-slow strike, halving their working time. Ten thousand workers in Ontario and Quebec have remained idle in a dispute over wage rates and union contracts.
