N.Z. FOREST PRODUCTS.

(Rec. 12.20.) MELBOURNE, June 16. David Henry, Managing Director of the New Zealand Forest Products, is visiting Melbourne, and conferring with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research regarding a license granted to his company by the New Zealand Government to manufacture kraft pulp paper. “We intend to act without delay,” Mr Henry said to-day. “To finance our project there are sufficient funds in hand, representing part of what was taken from the old company. Much of the plant will have to be obtained abroad, but some pulping plant might be obtained in Australia. The erection, of an undertaking of this sort would normally take 18 months apart from wartime delays. Mr Henry indicated that during this stage of developing manufacturers, there could be no talk of dividends.
