lOur Own Corresoondent.] Sgt. J. Buckland, who has been spending leave at Cronadun, has returned to .camp. Mr and' Mrs T. P. O’Regan, who spent their honeymoon in Christchurch and Wellington, have returned. Mr R. Bleakley, who has been herd testing officer in this district for the past eight .years, is leaving shortly for Christchurch where he has been transferred on promotion. “Bob” who has been most popular with everyone, is to be tendered a farewell social by the farming residents of the valley. Mrs Geo. Carson, who has been on a visit to Christchurch, has returned. Mr and Mrs J. Hart, of Dunedin, are visiting relatives at Cronadun. Pte. R. Gentle, formerly of Cronadun, has returned to camp after spending his leave in the district. Mr and Mrs Geo. Hahn, of Ahaura, Were visitors to Cronadun for the week-end. The local patriotic committee is holding an auction sale of goods and produce in the Soldiers’ Memorial Hall on Saturday evening. Canvassers through the district have received a very good response from the residents, and a large variety of goods and produce of all descriptions will be on sale. A dance will be held immediately after the' auction.
