Rev. E S. Hoddinott returned yesterday from Wellington.
Mrs G. H. Rattray Fraser left yesterday morning for Christchurch.
Mr M. Clark left by yesterday’s express on return to Christchurch.
Miss M. Stewart, of Greymouth, will shortly take up a position in the Greymouth Telephone Exchange.
Mr and Mrs L. R. Shuttleworth, Atarau, have received cabled advice that their three sons, Jack, Bob and Wyn, are safe and well in Tunisia.
Mr H. S. McCullough, of Christchurch arrived yesterday to take up a position on the train running staff of the Railways Department at Greymouth.
S'ergt. J. Q. Adamson and W.0.1. G. T. Adamson who have been spending their leave with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Adamson, 29 High Street, have left on return to camp.
Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Ferguson, of Runanga, announce the engagement of their youngest daughter, Mildred Elsie, to Edward William, elder son of Mrs. K. E. Boosey, Wellington,
Misses Eileen Campbell (Runanga), Margaret D. Collins (Blackball), Jean Fleming (Koiterangi), Marjorie McKay (Greymouth) and Cynthia M. Michel (Koiterangi) will leave next week to .enter a W.A.A.Q., recruit training depot.
Mr. C. B. Rawlins, who has been in change of the Labour Department at Greymouth for the past live years, has been transferred on promotion to Invercargill and will leave Greymouth to take up his new duties during the coming month. Mr. H. S. Hurle of Whangarei will replace Mr. Rawlins.

McKellar, H. M. Clark, M. O. Sinclair, P. N. Jeffreys, Short (Christchurch); H. W. Washer (Wellington); and Mrs. W. Naish (Kakanui). Miss Marjorie McKay, who has been Company Commander of the Greymoutn W.W.S.A. and is leaving next week to join the W.A.A.C.. was made a presentation of a silver cigarette- case at a parade of the Company last evening. The presentation was made by Staff-Sergeant S. Garden. Mrs. Fogarty and Mrs. Kitchingham spoke on behall of the Greymouth W.W.S.A. Committee, expressing their deep regret at losing the services of Miss McKay.
