U.S. COMMAND

CHANGES ANNOUNCED. (Rec. 11.5.) WASHINGTON, May 13. In accordance with the army the policy of bringing experienced commanders home to impart combat lessons to troops in training, MajorGeneral Patch, Army Commander of the Solomons, has assumed command of the Fourth Army Headquarters, Jacksonville, Florida. Major-General Oscar Griswold, former Commander of the Fourth Army, replaces MajorGeneral Patch. General Fredenhall, recently recalled from North Africa to command the Second Army to the War Department, said that other officers of all grades will be brotight back at the close of the Tunisian campaign.
