U.S. ATTITUDE

ALLIED RELATIONS. 8.0.W. RUGBY, March 22. Twenty-six more Republican Congressmen, representing 17 States, have announced support of the Senatorial proposal for the creation of an Allied Council to deal with post-war problems. They say an agreement on post-war formula is necessary, though a complete blueprint cannot yet be drafted. Mr Eden, accompanied by Lord Halifax and Sir William Strang resumed his conferences with Mr Cordell Hull to-day, and there are indications that problems involving the Soviet are being discussed. This was the first direct contact Sir William Strang had with Mr Hull. Before entering the conference, Mr Eden told the Press in connection with Mr Churchill’s speech: “It was pretty much what I’ve been telling you.”
